Short Information

This site deals with information about Glebinow, former "Glumpenau" which is located in south western Poland. We use to have a documentation online, mentioning historical background from 13th century up to the year 1945.

There will be no political interpretation outsides the facts mentioned. For some good water - technologie reasons the inhabitants of Nysa decided in the ending of the 1960s to build up a water reservation which damaged most of the former village.

For now there are most parts of the village gone to the ground of a lake. Most answers to questions of the next generatet relatives of the former inhabitants of Glumpenau are gone with the violations within WWII and went away in the floods of the Nysa lake reservate.

All issues published in the historical background are taken from a historical review, handwritten in 1954 from a deportet former inhabitant. All the ways of the former members of the village are described inside the mentioned documentation.

As modern thinking Europeans we all have to learn from history! But how can we do, when all Papers are gone ?

In Future we plan to have a English and as well a Polish based language version online.
